The Boston Celtics proved their depth was too much for the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of their NBA Finals matchup. Despite a strong performance from Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Celtics' bench proved to be the difference-maker in the 125-118 victory.
Doncic finished with a game-high 31 points, but he struggled with his shooting, going just 10-of-25 from the field. Irving added 24 points, but he also shot poorly, going 9-of-20 from the field. The Celtics, on the other hand, had six players score in double figures, led by Jaylen Brown's 22 points.
The Celtics also dominated the game on the boards, outrebounding the Mavericks 52-36. This allowed them to control the tempo of the game and take several key offensive rebounds.
With the win, the Celtics take a 2-1 lead in the series. Game 4 is scheduled for Friday night in Dallas.
